Our Story
The Snuggery Sessions
Snuggery Sessions is a live, filmed storytelling series based in a working barn in Downsville, Maryland. We bring people together for an intimate evening experience as a songwriter performs their original music. No stage tricks, no personas, no industry polish; Snuggery Sessions features real artists singing their songs and telling stories as they are surrounded by folks who are there to listen.
We started Snuggery because something essential is disappearing from modern music: foundation. In a culture optimized for speed and “going viral”, many artists are pushed to perform for algorithms rather than for humans. Snuggery exists to slow us down; not to reject modern music and experiences, but instead to reconnect with what music has always been. We want to create a space for artists who can hold a room, connect face-to-face, and showcase their work. It’s a space where audiences are immersed, with no distractions, in an experience of music that is increasingly rare.
Those moments will last longer than trends.
Whether you experience your first Snuggery Session in-person with us in our barn down in Downsville, or you watch with us as we share those professionally recorded moments with the world, we are thrilled to help showcase the thing that should never be lost in music; community. It supports artists in a way that no other venue or platform can. Your support helps us to make sure one night in a barn is turned into memories that last for generations.
Foundation Over Algorithms
It feels as if we are bombarded with hundreds of artists every week through social media, streaming platforms, YouTube, online ads, and curated playlists. Snuggery exists as a filter; not to decide who is worthy, but to highlight artists who are mature enough to deliver a thoughtful, musical experience with lasting impact. This stands in contrast to overnight TikTok stars who blow up quickly, only to fizzle out because there was no foundation beneath the moment.
Snuggery is not meant to gatekeep.
The criteria is simple: the ability to interact with a room full of people and to play a full set of original music. From there, the music will speak for itself. Snuggery hopes to help you discover the next artist, the next song, or even just the next lyric that has a lasting positive impact on you, your friends, and your family. .
At its core, Snuggery brings to life a dream, vanquishing the fear that if we are not intentional, we may fail to recognize and celebrate the kind of artists and music that once defined generations.
We’re Modern, Yet Rooted
We are a root-sy, raw, storytelling platform; that part is non-negotiable. But we’re also not naïve enough to believe that tradition alone will carry the work all the way to the listener. We’re living in a moment where AI is spreading its fingers into every corner of the music industry.
Our stance is simple: AI is a tool, not a crutch.
We don’t use AI to replace art; we use it to help real art find real people.
That’s where Tune Drop AI, a start-up that supports artists, comes in. Tune Drop is an AI-driven marketing and distribution company built around one core belief: artists shouldn’t have to choose between making meaningful work and getting that work seen. A creator can have immense talent, incredible songs, and tangible potential, but still struggle to get their music to ears and eyes. That gap is where most great art quietly disappears. Snuggery Sessions handles one side of that equation.
We give artists the space, resources, and care to capture their stories in recording. But that’s not always enough.
After the recording is made, we switch our focus to making sure those moments actually reach an audience. Tune Drop helps do that by analyzing social media data and consulting with artists on things that are deeply data-driven: optimal times to post, formats that perform best, visual presentation, colors and backgrounds, hashtags, and even on-screen text. These are the mechanics of modern discovery, and realistically, they’re almost impossible to execute well without professional tools.
To be clear: AI will NEVER be used to fabricate art on behalf of an artist.
Snuggery does not generate songs, stories, or performances. We do promote thoughtful use of modern tools to optimize how real, human work is brought to and experienced by listeners. At the end of the day, our goal is simple; We’re here to instill a feeling and give the artist and the audience a unique opportunity. We move away from the current music industry machine, where frankly, if you put something shallow in, you’re going to get something shallow back. We believe deeply in the artist’s work itself. The tools just help it travel farther. Snuggery Sessions carries an old-fashioned spirit; we just happen to be using modern tools to keep that spirit alive.
Walking through the applause in what felt like super slow motion. The familiar hay dust and cobweb-covered barn beams were in my periphery, as my eyes tunnel visioned to the stool. I sat down, closed my eyes, and took a deep breath. When I opened them, I was surrounded by friends, family, and fans packed shoulder to shoulder on big couches and cozy chairs. They were there to hear a story. Since I was 5, I had been in this same barn, tossing hay bales, fixing old farm equipment, listening to my grandfather tell me stories while we were covered in motor oil, horse hair, and hay. But now, I was in this same space (showered up and smelling much better), telling stories about those moments. It felt like a living room conversation between me and the people in front of me. I wasn’t performing; I was communicating in a more deep and dynamic manner than I had previously known, in an effort to be understood. The audience was immersed and listened intently, and more importantly they responded. The energy was electric, despite the lack of glitz and glam.
That night felt visceral; it felt bigger than me.
I saw a barn full of people who helped create the Snuggery Sessions magic. We all hung lights, set up cameras, built a hay bale set, and moved chairs from our house into the barn. We collected my grandmother’s quilts and lights to complete the set.
With that backdrop the audience saw me for who I truly was, and there was no reason, desire, or pressure for me to put on a performative face for them. I was just me, and that was really nerve-racking, until the first note, and I was running on Will Wright autopilot. All of us gathering in that barn on that May evening created a moment. And that shared experience became Snuggery Sessions.
Storytelling is what Snuggery Sessions are all about.
The audience is meant to bring out the human in an artist, not the persona they think they want or the personality they feel pressured to put on or conform to while on a screen, or in the presence of an unfamiliar crowd. There are no barriers between the storyteller and the audience, no bands or flashing lights. This creates the opportunity for the storyteller to fill in those gaps with their unique sound. Each session is recorded live in the barn, where you can see and revive every bit of honesty from the artist and from the crowd reacting right alongside them.
We’re proud to call Downsville, Maryland, home, a small town that proves storytelling can be seen and loved by the masses while working with but not relying on or conforming to big industry. Every artist who steps foot in Downsville brings their own unique story to the sessions; they interact with Downsville and the characters within it.
The next step for Snuggery Sessions is to keep building this platform the right way. With your help, we can pay our hard working crew, invest in better equipment, and share these performances with a wider online audience and eventually even bring this series to bigger screens. By donating or sharing this campaign, you’re helping preserve something that’s quickly disappearing in modern music: genuine connection. You’re not just funding a show, you're helping build a movement that values honesty, storytelling, and community.
From a little barn in Maryland to wherever you are in the world — thank you for believing in Snuggery Sessions.
